CLASSIFICATION OF GRADUATES OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS, TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITIES, BIENNIAL AND HYPER-BIENNIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM SCHOOLS

Academic Year 2011 - 2012

With the decision of the Temporary Deneral Assembly of the Department (Number 57/25-5-2011), the following are announced:


WAY OF CLASSIFICATION

The classification of graduates of Higher Education Institutions, Technological Universities, Biennial and Hyper-Biennial schools and equal to the Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering departments for the academic year 2011-2012 will become with qualifying exams.

The classification will become from the Classification Commitee through examinations in three courses:


  • Introduction to Computer Science
  • Introduction to Telecommunications
  • Introduction to Structed Programming

The candidates will be examined to the following issues:


  1. Introduction to Computer Science
  2. Organizing and optimization of Informatics Systems. Representations and Actions. Numerical Systems. Number's Representation. Computer's arithmetic. Constant and floating point actions. Charachter's Representation. Computer parts. Processor's organization and funcgtionality. Memory organizing and design. Regional Units. Machine Languange. Assembly Languange. Compilers, Interpreters. Introduction to Operating Systems. General principles of Operating Systems. Processes, Process Communication and Synchronization.
  3. Introduction to Telecommunications
  4. History of Telecommunications. Telecommunications Systems Model. Information Transmission Techniques. Digital Formatting Systems for Analog Signals. Analog Formatting Systems Digital Transmission. Information Transmitting Means. Noise. Introduction to Telecommunication Networks. Network Design & Layered Architecture. Circuit versus Packet switching. Multiplexing. General principles on network management.
  5. Introduction to Structed Programming
  6. Introductory concepts. Programming Languages. Algorithms. Algorithm Execution and Compilers. Programming Methodology. Design and Evaluation. Introduction to the C Programming Language. Data Types, Constants and Variables. Parameters, Parameter Passing, Commands, Functions. Recursive Functions. C Languange Applications.

REQUEST RIGHT – CLASSIFICATION PERSENTAGES

Graduates can make a Request when they are graduates of Higher Education Institutes, or Technological Universities or higher Schools Biennal and Hyper-Biennal Education Program that governed by the Ministry of Education and other Ministries or graduates with equal Diplomas to them.


The percentage of classifications on the number of new students are:


  • 4% Higher Education Institutes and Higher Schools with Biennal Education Program graduates
  • 5% Technological Universities' graduates
  • 2% graduates of Higher Schools with Hyper-Biennal Education Program

Candidates with equal marks in the examination to the last accepted candidate are not accepted.


REQUEST SUBMISSION – PAPERS

The interested can submit the related request to the Department's Secretariat between 1/11/2011 and 15/11/2011 and between 11:00 and 13:00 o clock. In the request submitted there must be attached also:


  1. A copy or certification of the completed Education Program.
  2. Detailed certificate of grades.

The graduates of Universities abroad must also submit Certificate of Equivalence of their Diploma from D.O.A.T.A.P. or from some Authority that is responsible to recognize the Diploma.


CLASSIFICATION SEMESTER

All new students are classified in the first semester of Education Program.
